Dalmore Cigar Single Malt

Dalmore Cigar is a stout, no non-sense single malt that has very little subtleties or characteristics that might be noticed in some of the more expensive single malts. It is made to be drank with a cigar, so why beat around the bush with the little nuances? Dalmore Cigar is a heavy, thick, syrupy scotch, but certainly smooth and tasty enough to prefer over a housebrand or blended scotch. It definitely has some smokey peat and I even detected a little ripened banana with raisin. I thought this scotch finished rather abruptly, but that didn't bother me. I really grew fond of this scotch, even without the cigar.

Glengoyne Single Malt

Glengoyne 12-year single malt scotch is 100 proof worth of very fruity complex scotchy flavors. It's nose is syrupy sweet, but light and aromatic with overtones of almond, vanilla, oak, sherry, banana and just about any fruit you can think of. It's a very full, fruity scotch with just enough lightness and air to make you think it is not nearly as strong as the label indicates. Wow, Glengoyne goes down smooth and makes you beg for more with each intriguing new sip.

Glenmorangie Single Malt

Glenmorangie Single Malt is an exceptionally clean, but complex tasting whiskey from the Highlands Region. You fan find Glenmorangie in 10, 12, 15, 18 and 25 years varieties. All of them exhibit some complex characteristics like banana, apple, butter, almond, chewy caramel taffy with a very long-lasting, fruity floral finish. I would say that 12-year I had recently, even had a hint of citrus. Apparently, much of the 10-year old glenmorangie is aged in old bourbon casks, which lend to some of it's complex, but variety of tasteful overtones. They are all very good.
